The event, held at the Grosvenor House Hotel in London, celebrated inspirational individuals and outstanding organisations in FE.
A 14-strong panel of judges has spent the past year assessing a record number of entries for the awards, sponsored by the Education and Training Foundation, now in their seventh year.
More than 100 individuals and organisations were shortlisted for the 17 award categories. They included the first ever Tes FE award for specialist provider of the year, won by Foxes Academy – and adult and community provider of the year, won by Lancashire Adult Learning. Foxes Academy also won the flagship award of overall FE provider of the year.
Education secretary Damian Hinds paid tribute to those who had taken part in the awards. In a tweet earlier this evening, he said: “Congratulations to all the nominees in the #tesFEawards which celebrate the excellent work taking place in our colleges up and down the country”.
Photos from the event will be published on the official awards website.
