What’s on at the Mini Vine w/c 16 August

Pop along to the Mini Vine @ 62 Bridge Street and you’ll find lots of activities for you and your family. Opening hours 9-5 Monday – Saturday, 10-4 Sunday.

 

Monday 16 August

9.30-4.30pm:  Job and Career Advice. Are you at a crossroads in your career or looking for a new job?   Then have a chat with Rob our career adviser.  He’ll be around to have an informal chat with you and if you would, you can book a meeting to explore what you’re looking for further.

10am – 12 noon Caio bella? Italian for beginners and improvers.   Would you like to learn some basic Italian words and phrases or practice your Italian language skills?  Pop along between  and say “Caio” to Paul. It could be the start of a great conversation.

Tuesday 17 August

11am – 1pm Learn English – ESOL taster session.  Come in and say “hello” to Pam.  Pam is one of our ESOL tutors and helps people who want to improve their English skills. 

9.30am-4.30pm:  Job and Career Advice. Are you at a crossroads in your career or looking for a new job?   Then have a chat with Andy our career adviser.  He’ll be around to have an informal chat with you and if you would, you can book a meeting to explore what you’re looking for further.

Shoebox Theatre Arts & Crafts session.  Fun activity for the young ones and adults too.

12 noon – 2.30pm  Chess for all Have you always wanted to learn how to play chess or improve your game skills. Pop along and have a chat with Ella who can show you the basics and some tactical moves within the game.

Wednesday 18 August

10am – 12.30 – Get Hooked!  Crochet & Knit Wits Have you always wanted to learn how to crocket or knit but too afraid to ask?  Then come in and “get hooked” with our talented crafts tutor.

12 noon – 2pm  A taste of French Ooh la la!  Would you like to learn some basic words and phrases in French? Then come in and say Bonjour to Paul, one of our language tutors.  

10am – 12 noon – A career in Health & Social Care.  Would you like to help others in a health and social care setting, then come in and have a chat with Vanessa.  She can share with you all the amazing jobs available and how to gain relevant qualifications too.

Thursday 19 August

10am – 12 noon – It’s all about books! You’ll find lots of help and advice on books and how to enjoy the love of reading with our friends from the National Literacy Trust. You may be lucky and take a free book away with you too!

10.30am – 12.30pm  Learn English – ESOL taster session.  Come in and say “hello” to Pam.  Pam is one of our ESOL tutors and has helped loads of people to improve their English skills for work, at home and in the local community.

2pm – 4pm A taste of Family Arts and Crafts   Pop in and have a go at a range of arty and crafty activities with Vicky.  Youngsters and adults are welcome.

Friday 20 August

9.30-4.30pm:  Thank goodness it’s Friday!  Now for some job and Career Advice. If you need a helping hand to get into work or improve your job or career prospects then come along and say “hello” to Andy. He has lots of experience helping people like you get into work and improve their career prospects.

Apprenticeship Day! Coralie will be on hand and she has lots of experience helping people of all ages gain an apprenticeship qualification in Leadership and Management.   Apprenticeship s aren’t just for school, college or University leavers.  They are for people of all ages and all stages in their career.
