City College Peterborough is celebrating being shortlisted for the Specialist Provider of the Year Award in the prestigious Times Education Awards 2018.

The awards are organised by the much-respected Times Educational Supplement (TES), the creator of the world’s longest-running education magazine. The awards look to celebrate and reward the dedication and expertise of the people and teams who contribute to make a significant contribution to improve the skill levels of young people, adult learners and supported people.

The awards celebrate excellent and innovative practice across the further education sector and are now in their eighth year.

Tes FE editor Stephen Exley said: “Excellent practice exists right across the further education sector, and those shortlisted for the Tes FE Awards are the cream of the crop. Our judges were extremely impressed with the calibre of entries.

“We had more entries for this year’s categories than ever before, and the standard was higher than ever. To be shortlisted is an extraordinary achievement.”

The winners will be revealed at a gala awards evening at the Grosvenor House Hotel, Park Lane, London on Friday 22 March 2019

Pat Carrington MBE, Principal of City College Peterborough comments: “I am delighted that the College has been shortlisted for the TES award. It’s fantastic to be recognized by TES for the second year running and highlights the hard work and dedication of the College and all of its employees.”
