Free Family Learning For Schools And Community Organisations In Peterborough

Do you work for a community organisation or school in Peterborough and would like City College to deliver FREE learning to adults and children in your centre? We have over 75 years’ experience of providing enjoyable and engaging learning to people in Peterborough to improve their skills and wellbeing. We’re waiting to hear from you.

Family learning has huge benefits for children’s and adults’ skills and can improve school attendance and attainment* 

  • For parents/carers alone or with their children (early years only) 
  • Designed to help parents support their children’s development during their early years and at school
  • Adults and children both develop their skills and confidence
  • Exciting and fun activities (e.g., storytelling; reading; writing; numbers; science; learning about the world; wellbeing) 

 If you provide the room, we’ll:

  • Offer you a menu of ideas for free family courses or work with you to decide what to offer parents/carers and children 
  • Make the process easy by setting up, planning, promoting, delivering, and monitoring the courses for you

Informal community learning has huge benefits for adults’ physical and mental wellbeing,

confidence and skills and can improve longevity of life* 

  • For adults aged 19+
  • A motivating and enjoyable range of activities on offer
  • Designed to be local and to support people to improve their lives and social and economic wellbeing and reduce isolation
  • Planned to lead to further opportunities, whether volunteering, more learning or employment 

 If you have a room to accommodate 8-10 people, we’ll:

  • Offer you a menu of ideas for free courses (e.g., gardening; healthy eating on a budget; make and mend; chess; photography; arts and crafts) 

OR

  • Work with you and the community to offer what you’d like. It could even be a project
  • Make the process easy by setting up, planning, promoting, delivering and monitoring the courses for you
