CITY COLLEGE PETERBOROUGH FEATURED AS BEST PRACTICE ADULT EDUCATION PROVIDER IN THE PARLIAMENTARY REVIEW 2020 EDUCATION.
City College Peterborough is proud to announce that it has been featured in the Parliamentary Review 2020 Education Services, published by Westminster Publications Limited in London. As only one of thirteen providers selected to be showcased nationally in the Government’s Parliamentary Review on Education Services, this accolade has put Peterborough City Council’s Adult Education service firmly on the national map.
The College has received high praise for its ability to continue to deliver on its promise of providing a welcoming environment that inspires people to develop and achieve personal, social, academic and economic goals, despite funding cuts to adult education.
The Parliamentary Review is a series of independent publications, produced with the strategic aim of raising standards by highlighting industry best practice. In recent years, it has featured forewords by Theresa May, David Cameron, Caroline Lucas, Lucy Powell and many other renowned political figures. The Review’s release is marked by an annual gala in the Palace of Westminster.
2019/2020 is a very special year for the College, celebrating its 75th anniversary of supporting people who live and work in the city to improve their work and career prospects, enhance their general wellbeing and get more out of their family lives and social relationships.
As well as being shortlisted for five Times Education Supplement 2020 FE Awards this year, the College now has the honour of being featured in the Parliamentary Review.
Pat Carrington, Executive Principal, said, “This influential guide to industry best practice gives the College a credible national platform on which to showcase our offering in terms of the work we undertake with our local residents to develop their skills, build aspirations and improve their work and life chances.”
