BBC’s Voice Stars Inspire Students to Follow their Dreams

Classical Reflection with students

Local singing duo, Classical Reflection, spoke about their excitement in being selected by Ricky Wilson for the second round of BBC’s popular talent show to a group of young students at the College.

The talented twin sisters, Naomi and Hannah Moxon (19) from Longthorpe spoke to a group of young Study Skills students based at the John Mansfield Centre about how they have progressed their passion for singing to become contestants on The Voice.  They were delighted when judge Ricky Wilson, lead singer with the Kaiser Chiefs,  pressed his button and voted them into his team during the blind auditions.  Naomi and Hannah are receiving coaching and support musically, mentally, and in some cases, physically from Ricky to prepare them for round 2, to battle it out with fellow contestants to progress to the final.

Naomi and Hannah wanted to inspire young people to follow their own dream to achieve their own personal goals and success.  The students shared their own dreams with the signing duo which included becoming a professional football, becoming a mime artist to travelling the world.

Students also enjoyed a live performance by Naomi and Hannah before the  girls  had to leave to prepare for their next tv performance.

The Voice is transmitted on BBC1 on Saturday evenings.
