Intermediate Apprenticeship

You will work towards a NVQ Level 2 Diploma in Food Production.

You will cover a wide range of topics including:

  • Maintaining food safety
  • Produce basic fish meat or poultry dishes
  • Produce basic bread and dough or pastry products
  • Work effectively as part of a hospitality team
  • Modify the content of dishes.

The units chosen will be dependent on the type of placement/employment that you are working in.

To gain this qualification Functional Skills Level 1 in English and Maths will also have to be achieved together with a Technical Certificate in Principles in Hospitality and Catering Principles.
