We offer a range of teaching and supporting teaching courses
All of our teacher training courses are awarded by City and Guilds. We offer a range of courses from Level 2 Award in Support Work in Schools to Level 5 Diploma in Education and Training, giving you the opportunity to advance your career in learning support and teacher training.
The Level 2 qualifications are ideal for anyone who wishes to be a teaching assistant, work in a support role within a school or if you are already in one of these roles. You will develop your knowledge of working in a support role in a school and covers areas such as safeguarding, communication and understanding the school context.
The Level 3 qualification is for anyone who wishes to work, or already works as a teacher or trainer in the workplace or in an education/skills sector. You will develop an understanding of your roles and responsibilities as a teacher/training and learn how to plan and deliver sessions, use appropriate resources and teaching methods.
The Level 5 qualification is for anyone who is already teaching or wants to teach in further education. You will look at the practical approach to all aspects of planning, delivering assessing. As well as embedding theories and principles of education and training. You will also need to be able to demonstrate your skills by teaching for a minimum of 100 hours throughout the course.

- On-site Classroom (OS) All learners attend every lesson in one of our centres.
- Blended Learning (BL) The group will be split in half. Learners will alternate between attending on-site and virtual classrooms.
- Virtual Classroom (VC) All learners attend every class online.
- Distance Learning (DL) Learning completed at home supported by some workshops where applicable.

This qualification is suitable for those who are currently reaching in the Post-16 education sector and hold the full range of teaching responsibilities (planning, delivery, assessment, resource development and course evaluation). You must have access to at least 100 hours of teaching practice during the course.
Some units you will study include: teaching, learning and assessment in education and training, developing teaching, learning and assessment in education and training, theories principles and models in education and training, and wider professional practice and development in education and training.
