City College Peterborough are proud to be delivering the £5.2m Health and Care Sector Work Academy on behalf of Cambridgeshire and Peterborough Combined Authority.  Your key responsibilities include proactively sourcing and attracting suitable candidates to the academy working to stretching targets. The successful candidate will support marketing activity to generate recruitment by conducting candidate interviews and referring on for IAG assessment.

We are excited about our future and are seeking someone to be part of the team as we develop a new innovation in supporting people to develop careers in the Health and Care Sector and influence employers in their recruitment and staff training processes.

ESSENTIAL PERSONAL QUALITIES OF THE POST HOLDER

This is a challenging post playing a key part in the continuing success, development and expansion of the project for Cambridgeshire and Peterborough. Strong inter-personal and co-ordination skills are required for this post and the ability to work as part of a team and to be self-motivating is essential.

The successful applicant will be a dynamic individual who is learner focused: who understands the market in which we operate and values the opportunities available through partnership working.  Our colleague will be clear-sighted, able to meet challenges head-on, with the ability to identify new opportunities and to develop those opportunities, exploiting them to the best advantage for our learners.  He or she will be charismatic, with an outgoing personality, and will possess the ability to interact with people at all levels.  A forward thinker, with a positive “can do”, “will do” approach, together with the ability to work with, and motivate others is essential.

Part-time Sessional ESOL and IT Tutors

PTLLS/CTLLS/DTLLS: £23,308.02 – £31,330.42 pro-rata depending on level of teaching qualification.

Non-Qualified Teaching rate:  £21,970.40 – £23,308.02

City College Peterborough is seeking talented ESOL and IT tutors to contribute to the success of our provision for adults aged over 19 and teach on a range of qualification and non-qualification courses at our main College sites and in the community.

Pay scales are dependent on teaching qualifications held.

ESOL applicants will have gained teaching experience in the UK or overseas and hold the Cambridge CELTA or Trinity Cert. TESOL qualification or equivalent.

For IT tutors, applicants must have teaching experience but, while desirable, a formal teaching qualification is not essential. We will be delighted to support the professional development of individuals who are passionate about the value of digital literacy and have proven subject knowledge.

As a result of the Government’s agenda to support the ‘up-skilling’ of Maths and English as a priority area for young people and adults, we are excited about the prospect of recruiting more Maths and English experts to join our dedicated team.

Whilst we continue to welcome applications from experienced teaching professionals, teaching experience is not essential. We will be delighted to support the professional development of individuals who are passionate about the value of literacy and numeracy skills; have the excellent subject knowledge, with a desire to join the education profession. The range of opportunities include:

Full Time and Term Time only contracts

Sessional part-time courses (variable hours depending on availability)

Qualification courses (Functional Skills, Themed awards, and GCSEs)

The ideal candidates will have a commitment to improving the confidence, skills, and abilities of learners. They will be passionate about education and have proven subject knowledge, previous delivery of iGCSE or GCSE would be advantageous.
