Exams and Student Support Officer

PCC Grade 5 SCP 5-7 £18,795 – £19,554 per annum
37 Hours per week.

We are looking for a competent and motivated individual who can demonstrate excellent interpersonal skills, great attention to detail and experience of working to tight deadlines to work as part of the Quality team.

The post holder will support the Exams Co-Ordinator to ensure the provision of excellent administration and communication for the smooth running of public exams within the College, ensuring full compliance with all Awarding Body criteria.

In addition, the role will provide effective support to students in terms of identifying any financial support needs as well as additional learning support required.

Have you got excellent knowledge of Motor Vehicle and would like to teach?

 

We have a great opportunity based at City College Peterborough for a Multi Skilled Tutor to become a key member of our Motor Vehicle department.

As a tutor in Motor Vehicle, you will play a pivotal role in the success of our learners.

This exciting role will involve you to plan and deliver Motor Vehicle courses across a range of levels in an enthusiastic and inspiring manner, supporting learners achieve their full potential in a positive and engaging learning environment.  You need to be experienced, self-motivated and confident tutor to deliver high quality teaching and learning within our study programme provision, on a term time only basis (37 hours per week).

The ability to plan, prepare and deliver high quality lessons to all students at city college Peterborough is paramount. All the staff are dedicated to education, training, skills and putting people first. People are at the heart of everything we do.

The job role will also include contributing to the continued development of the Department, providing tutorial support for learners, and carrying out the associated administrative tasks connected with the position.

The successful candidate will need to be vocationally qualified to at least Level 3 in Motor Vehicle repair and be able to demonstrate in depth subject knowledge.

We are looking to recruit part-time, sessional Community Learning Tutors to deliver a wide range of general interest courses to Peterborough residents during the daytime, evenings or weekends.

We are looking for tutors who want to share their interests and skills by delivering high quality courses across a range of subject areas which may include arts and crafts; family learning; food; health and lifestyle; gardening; DIY;  ICT; photography and mental health and wellbeing, for example Classes are delivered through classroom based and  online or blended learning. If you can teach a subject not listed here, please get in touch anyway.

You can offer as much or as little time as you have available to fit in with your existing commitments and don’t worry if you don’t have teaching experience or a teaching qualification, we’ll be happy to support you.

The current rate of pay from £19.98 per hour if you don’t have a teaching qualification.
