City College Peterborough are seeking talented tutors to share in the success of the Health and Care Sector Work Academy.

Subjects required include: ESOL and Functional English

The ideal candidates will have a commitment to improving the confidence, skills and abilities of learners and they will be passionate about education and have proven subject knowledge.

The successful candidate will be required to:

  • Establish effective working relationships with learners
  • Engage learners through providing innovative and stimulating lessons
  • Assess, monitor, support and record learner progress
  • Work as part of a team to achieve timely results

Pay scales are dependent on the courses taught and any teaching qualifications held.

Please note that the project is running across both Cambridgeshire and Peterborough and therefore might involve traveling outside of the City as appropriate.

Whilst we continue to welcome applications from experienced teaching professionals, teaching experience is not essential. We will be delighted to support the professional development of individuals who are passionate about the value of literacy and numeracy skills; have excellent subject knowledge, with a desire to join the education profession.

Administrator – Health & Care Sector Work Academy

NJC Scale 5 SCP 14-18 £17,681 – £18,870 37 hours per week – Permanent

City College Peterborough is proud to be delivering the £5.2M Health and Care Sector Work Academy on behalf of Cambridgeshire and Peterborough Combined Authority. As an Administrator, you will play a key role in the project’s success. You will be involved in the day to day organisation of the team’s activities and project arrangements. You will also be the first point of contact for participants and employers wanting to find out more about the project.

The successful candidate will join a small project team of dedicated hard working and committed staff able to work flexibly within the working week and year.

Strong inter-personal skills are required for this post as the College and Service continues to expand quality provision and meet targets. The ability to work as part of a team and to be self-motivating is essential.

We are excited about this project and are seeking someone to join our team as we develop a new innovation in supporting people to develop careers in the Health and Care Sector.

Team Leading /Management Business Trainer

Teaching and Assessor Rate £21,539.61 to £30,716.10 pro rata 22.5 hours per week – Permanent

The Apprenticeship and Business Skills department are looking for a Business Trainer who is experienced in delivering to the Team Leading and Management Sector, who is able to deliver Apprenticeship programmes to learners employed in Peterborough and the surrounding areas.
