Deafblind UK and City College Peterborough celebrate their support to apprentices during National Apprenticeship Week 2017.

Deafblind UK is a national charity that supports people with combined sight and hearing loss. Through an extensive range of services and backed by a rich heritage, it empowers people to transform their day to day communication, mobility and access to information.

Deafblind UK has recently welcomed an apprentice from the college to help in the day-to-day running of the organisation.

Nicole Atkinson joined Deafblind UK in July2015 as a receptionist studying Business Administration Level 3 NVQ with Peterborough Regional Collage in September 2016.

Speaking from her time at Deafblind UK, Nicole comments: “My role here has been extremely varied and I have been involved in Administration, Conferences and HR. I know once I complete my apprenticeship there will be opportunities to progress and the knowledge I have gained in business administration can be used in future roles within the organisation.”
