National Apprenticeship Week (9 to 13 March 2015) – NAW – was a huge success. With a number of initiatives we spent the week celebrating the work of apprentices and business across the city, for their contribution to apprenticeship schemes.
As part of NAW we decided to congratulate and celebrate apprentices on their outstanding performance. Whether it was for their determination, progression or even their professional and committed approach to work, employers could nominate apprentices to win our Apprentice of the Term.
enriched.it nominated Scott Johnson for the Apprentice of the Term award.
Working towards an apprenticeship in Supporting Teaching and Learning in Schools, Scott has stood out time and time again for his fantastic attitude and eagerness to learn.
enriched.it put forward a fantastic case for Scott to be awarded Apprentice of the Term. They explained how Scott has made an excellent commitment in his first six months on programme: He handled all assignments ahead of deadlines and carried out extensive research to ensure they are well written.
Importantly he also ensured his assignments linked directly to his practical working with children in schools – making his learning highly relevant to what enriched.it offer.
Scott’s nomination highlighted how well prepared he always was, conducting himself in a professional and approachable manner at all times.
During classroom observations, two teachers praised Scott’s approach – especially how he engaged with the children in activities provided by enriched.it.
It was clear to us, here at City College Peterborough, that Scott had really made the most of his apprenticeship whilst also adding a lot of value to enriched.IT. As a result, we were delighted to announce he was City College’s Apprentice of the Term.
Our congratulations goes to Scott and enriched.IT – we look forward to seeing what the next leg of your apprenticeship journey brings!
