Intermediate Apprenticeship

You will achieve a Level 2 Certificate for the Children’s Workforce Development Council.

Candidates must be able to obtain a clear DBS check in order to pursue a childcare apprenticeship.

You will cover a wide range of topics including:

  • Introduction to Communication in Health, Social Care or Children’s and Young People’s Settings
  • Child and Young Person Development
  • Safeguarding the Welfare of Children and Young People
  • Contribute to Children and Young People’s Health and Safety
  • Contribute to the Support of Positive Environments for Children and Young People.

To gain this qualification Functional Skills Level 1 in English, Maths and ICT will also have to be achieved together with a Level 2 award in Employment Responsibilities and Rights in Health, Social Care or Children and Young People’s Settings and a Paediatric First Aid Certificate.

Advanced Apprenticeship

You will achieve a Level 3 Diploma for the Early Years Practitioner (Early Years Educator)

Candidates must be able to obtain a clear DBS check in order to pursue a childcare apprenticeship.

You will cover a wide range of topics including:

  • Promote Communication in Health, Social Care or Children’s and Young People’s Settings
  • Understand Child and Young Person Development
  • Understand How to Safeguard the Wellbeing of Children and Young People
  • Support Children and Young People’s Health and Safety
  • Working Together for the Benefit of Children and Young People.

To gain this qualification Functional Skills Level 2 in English, Maths and ICT will also have to be achieved together with a Level 2 award in Employment Responsibilities and Rights in Health, Social Care or Children and Young People’s Settings and a Paediatric First Aid Certificate
