Levels 1 & 2 Health and Social Care

Qualification: Level 1 Diploma in Introduction to Health, Social Care and Childrens’ and Young Peoples’ Settings

A course designed to develop skills in Health and Social Care.

You will cover a wide range of topics including:

  • Investigating Rights and Responsibilities at Work
  • Managing your health at work
  • Health and social care needs
  • Promoting healthy eating in care
  • Personal care in health and social care
  • Communication with adults and children in health and social care
  • Learning experiences for children and young people
  • Creative activities for children and adults.

Course Requirements

  • An interest in the subject
  • E2 English and maths.

Qualification: Level 2 Diploma in Introduction to Health, Social Care and Childrens’ and Young Peoples’ Settings

A course designed to develop skills achieved through completion of Level 1 Health and Social Care.

A range of topics including:

  • Investigating Rights and Responsibilities at Work
  • Managing your health at work
  • Health and Social Care needs
  • Promoting healthy eating in care
  • Personal care in Health and Social Care
  • Communication with adults and children in Health and Social Care
  • Learning experiences for children and young people
  • Creative activities for children and adults.

Course Requirements

  • 4 GCSE Grade D or above qualifications or a Level 1 qualification
  • Level 1 English and maths
  • An interest in the subject.

Industry standards/Occupational requirements needed to work within the care industry:

  • A DBS check will be needed to work within the care industry
