Boost your workplace skills and become more employable with City College Peterborough’s employability training – Get that Job.

Perhaps you’re in between jobs at the moment, or you’re looking to gain some new skills to get you back into the workplace? Either way, our employability training will help you gain the skills necessary to become a successful employee.

Our employability courses are free (subject to eligibility) as they are aimed at helping employers find candidates who are right for their jobs, whilst also boosting the local, current job market.

We have a variety of employability training programmes available at City College Peterborough, they include:

Level 2 Cerificate in Prevention and Control of Infection

This course is designed for individuals who would like to work in a Health Care environment.
It will give you a broad understanding of how to work safely within various settings, such as Care Homes, Dental Practices, Hospitals and Child Care settings.

Level 2 Certificate in Dementia Awareness

This course is designed for individuals who have an interest in Dementia and are considering working in the area. It will give you a broad understanding of how to work with people who suffer from this condition.

Level 2 Certificate in Preparing to Work in Adult Social Care

Are you looking to work in the Adult Care Sector? Then this is the course for you! If you have gained a Level 1 qualification in Health and Social Care then this course will extend your knowledge and understanding of care work.

Level 1 Certificate in Introduction to Customer Service

This is an intensive course, covering the general principles of customer service. The course is delivered in a fun and practical way and will help you get into work in this area.

This course is designed for individuals who have an interest in Mental Health and are considering working in this area. It will give you a broad understanding of how to work with people who suffer from a number of different conditions.

Level 1 Certificate in Wellbeing

This qualification can support your progression into further learning in Health and Social Care. It will cover a number of topics including stress, healthy eating and drinking and alcohol awareness. This can lead to roles in Youth Work and Health and Social Care.
