Level 2 Award in Effective Listening Skills

Do you work with people, would you like to improve your listening and communication skills, creating a safe place for individuals to talk? This course will provide the skills to develop and improve relationships within the workplace, personal or community settings.

Supporting Teaching and Learning in Schools Level 2

This qualification is suitable for individuals working or volunteering in roles that support pupils learning within a classroom environment for a minimum of 6 hours a week. The programme is designed for teaching assistants, learning support assistants and special needs assistants.

Level 3 Award in Education and Training

This is an introductory knowledge based qualification. It may be a stepping stone to those who may not be in teaching but are keen to pass on their skills and knowledge to adult learners. The qualification is designed to contribute to the skills, knowledge and understanding related to the Professional Standards for Teachers, Tutors and Trainers in the Lifelong Learning Sector.

The course syllabus includes:
Adopt an integrated approach to the theory and practice of teaching, reflect on your own previous/current levels of experience, practice and skills, and areas for development, identify principles of learning, teaching, assessment and evaluation, develop confidence, communication and inter-personal skills, develop an awareness of your professional role and responsibilities.

Level 4 Certificate in Education and Training

The Level 4 Certificate in Education and Training is a first stage teaching qualification that will give candidates a fundamental understanding of the roles and responsibilities of a teacher/trainer in relation to legislation, equality, diversity, inclusivity and meeting the needs of learners.  It includes the use of initial and diagnostic assessments and requires candidates to plan and deliver inclusive teaching and learning, carry out assessments of and for learning and use resources effectively.

This course is designed for individuals who already hold a Level 3 Award, or equivalent, in Education and Training certificate.  You will need to attend an interview prior to enrolling.
