We offer a range of teaching courses, giving you the opportunity to advance your career in learning support or teacher training. These qualifications are ideal for those either working in or considering a career in teaching and education.

Supporting Teaching and Learning in Schools Level 2

This qualification is suitable for individuals working or volunteering in roles that support pupils learning within a classroom environment for a minimum of 6 hours a week. The programme is designed for teaching assistants, learning support assistants and special needs assistants.

Level 4 Certificate in Education and Training

The Level 4 Certificate in Education and Training is a first stage teaching qualification that will give candidates a fundamental understanding of the roles and responsibilities of a teacher/trainer in relation to legislation, equality, diversity, inclusivity and meeting the needs of learners.  It includes the use of initial and diagnostic assessments and requires candidates to plan and deliver inclusive teaching and learning, carry out assessments of and for learning and use resources effectively.

This course is designed for individuals who already hold a Level 3 Award, or equivalent, in Education and Training certificate.  You will need to attend an interview prior to enrolling. Level 5 Diploma in Education and Training

The Diploma in Education and Training is aimed at those who are currently teaching or intending to teach in the further education and skills sector. The qualification covers the knowledge and skills required to assume a full teaching role in planning, delivering, assessing and evaluating learning. It provides an introduction to the theories and principles of education and training, and aims to nurture a reflective approach to professional practice. All candidates, whether pre-service or in-service, should have access to 100 hours of teaching practice.
