Classical Music for All
This course is for anyone who enjoys listening to classical music and wishes to learn more about it.
The course will cover the works of the great composers, with background information on their lives and times and guidance in what to listen for in solo, orchestral, chamber and operatic music.
Elgar: Man and Music
A classical music appreciation course covering the life, times and work of Elgar, composer of such classics as “The Enigma Variations” and “Pomp and Circumstance”
Singing for Pleasure
If you have a passion for singing and would like to enhance your skills then come along to our singing course to help you do this.
- How to gain control of the voice through posture and breathing (the ‘appoggio’ technique)
- The mechanism of singing – simple vocal anatomy
- What defines a vocal register – how they work and how we can ‘blend’ them
- A wide range of vocal pieces from classical to modern, including traditional songs
The Music of Russia
A classical music appreciation course exploring the rich heritage of Russian music, including composers such as Tchaikovsky, Borodin, Rachmaninov and Shostakovich.
